Surface Prep Before Wrapping

  • We clean and prep the full exterior before applying the wrap.
  • If wax is present, we remove it because wax can prevent the adhesive from bonding properly.
  • Wax removal may require a $65 fee to make sure the surface is fully clean and ready. See disclosures

First Days / Curing Period

  • Let the wrap cure for a minimum of 72 hours before washing. In colder or humid weather, wait up to 5-7 days.
  • Do not wash or expose the wrap to heavy rain until edges are fully set.
  • Some haziness, small bubbles, or light edge waviness can be normal early and may settle as the wrap fully adheres.

Regular Wash Guidelines

  • After curing, wash by hand using the two-bucket method: one bucket with mild pH-neutral soap and one with clean rinse water.
  • Start at the top of the vehicle and work downward.
  • Use soft microfiber cloths or wash mitts. Avoid brushes, rough sponges, and abrasive tools.
  • Rinse thoroughly and dry with microfiber towels or a squeegee to avoid water spots.

What to Avoid

  • Do not apply soap, detergent, wax, or protection products in the first few days while curing.
  • Avoid automatic car washes, especially brush washes.
  • If pressure washing, keep pressure below about 2,000 PSI, use a wide-spray nozzle, hold the nozzle at least 1 foot away, and avoid spraying edges directly.
  • Do not use waxes or traditional polishing compounds intended for paint.

Spot Cleaning & Tough Stains

  • Clean bird droppings, bug splatter, tree sap, fuel spills, and other contaminants immediately.
  • Soften residue with warm soapy water, let it sit briefly, then gently wipe with a clean microfiber cloth.
  • For stubborn spots, a mild isopropyl alcohol mix may be acceptable. Always test on a hidden area first.

Long-Term Care & Protection

  • Wash regularly depending on exposure, weather, and road grime. Every 1-2 weeks is common for frequent drivers.
  • Park in shade or covered areas when possible to reduce UV fade, heat damage, and prolonged exposure.
  • Only use products made for vinyl wraps. Avoid wax made for painted surfaces.
